“Chris has been with HMCAA for over eleven years and has over eighteen years total experience in the public safety sector. He has been an outstanding performer for the organization and has demonstrated how capable he is time and again. We look forward to his continued tenure reflecting our core values” said Rick Tucker, executive director for the Port of Huntsville. “His experience working with and developing key relationships with local mutual aid partners will be instrumental to his success in this new appointment.”
He is married to wife, Jocelyn and has two daughters, Hailey and Maslyn. Chief Scott is a long-time member of the McGregor Lodge Fraternal Order of Police, AAAE and the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police. He is also active in the community and state as a member of a variety of committees and organizations including serving as the Alabama state representative with the Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Working Group.
In addition to his police, firefighter and EMT duties, Chief Scott also drives in the Huntsville Christmas Parade, along with Airlene (our Elf-On-A-Shelf) on behalf of the airport! We are so lucky to have such a dedicated, professional and FUN Chief of Public Safety. He shows excellent leadership and garners great respect and friendship from the employees of HMCAA.
Congratulations, Chief Scott!
